Congratulations to Felicity Aston

Felicity Aston, author of Call of the White, has become the first woman to ski alone across Antarctica.

The record-breaking adventurer completed her exhausting journey over the icy continent today – after 59 days pulling two sledges for 1,084 miles.

She tweeted that she had made it to Hercules Inlet on the Ronne Ice Shelf, after finally completing her journey which started from the Leverett Glacier on November 25, last year.

It has been reported that Felicity was also the first person to make the crossing using only her own strength to ski the 1,084 miles (1,744km).
