Grape Expectations author has won a Global Wine Tourism Award

Caro Feely’s vineyard in Dordogne has won a Global Wine Tourism Award. The Great Wine Capitals Global Network awarded Chateau Haut Garrigue/ Terroir Feely Gold in the category ‘Sustainable Wine Tourism’ at the Best of Wine Tourism awards in Bordeaux last week. This is the first time a wine estate from the Dordogne has won an award in this competition. Winning a Gold award is great recognition for the Feely’s transformation of their vineyard one hour from Bordeaux city.

The Great Wine Capitals Network said: ‘The wines at Château Haut Garrigue/ Terroir Feely have been produced with passion and ecology for several years (the wines are certified organic farming). In this historic place (the main building dates from the eighteenth century), visitors discover the benefits of sustainable development and organic and biodynamic farming through a wide range of services: visiting the vineyard and tasting the wines, hiking the self guided trail or doing a guided walk, blending their own wine, staying in the Wine Lodge… everything in a friendly, welcoming and educational manner.’
