Summersdale Publishers sign gift book deal with iconic Purple Ronnie brand

Summersdale is thrilled to announce a four-book license deal with rights management company Coolabi Group and Purple Ronnie. Having sold over 60 million cards and 5 million books to date, Purple Ronnie is one of the UK’s leading social expression brands. The deal incorporates worldwide rights, excluding North America.

Purple Ronnie has an exciting new creative direction that has already attracted a huge amount of attention since the relaunch of the product range in 2014 – for a contemporary audience, aged 15–30. The new range currently includes greetings cards, wrap and party products and even has its own YouTube channel boasting over 86,000 views.

With a growing social media following, the Purple Ronnie Facebook page now has over 98,000 likes and an active Twitter following.

Summersdale was founded in 1990 and is one of the UK’s top independent gift book and humour publishers. An award-winning, vibrant publisher, it puts its heart and soul into creating exceptional, entertaining and inspiring books, producing a diverse range of over 150 titles per year, with a backlist of over 600 titles.
