Been reading 'How to Understand and Deal with Social Anxiety' by @MitaMistry recently - so helpful, wish I had this when I was younger!
But yeah. It's such an amazing thing to accomplish, writing a book like this, or book, sorry, any book, because I know, I mean, the more condensed you have to make it, the harder it really is, because you have to structure it so well, so that when people open it, they literally find every useful thing possible in that topic. So well done. I'm sure it's been quite the process and yeah. It's such an achievement. And thank you for sending it to me.
Congratulations to the wonderful @MitaMistry on publication of her book on #socialanxiety. We know rates have hugely increased during the pandemic, especially amongst young people. This sets out information in a simple relatable way. Highly recommended for anyone struggling.
Hello everyone, I haven't been on here in a while but I've just come on to share this book: it's How to Understand and Deal with Social Anxiety by Mita Mistry who is a mental health specialist. It's a small book, I've just started reading it, it's quite easy to read. Now look, you know, I've dealt with mental health issues in the past and I think that, you know, if you can understand where these feelings and thoughts come from - which can sometimes limit us and our capabilities and our potential - anything that helps us, is a good thing, right? And a lot of this can help even young people. It doesn't matter where you're from, man or woman, you know, there are tips in here that'll help us all. Thank you Mita, and good luck with the book!
Social anxiety, it's not something I ever thought I had, but after reading my very dear friend @mutts2017's debut book there were many things I could relate to. From avoiding conversations I'm nervous about, hiding away when I'm struggling or needing a drink before I go to certain events to 'loosen up' Mita hits the nail on the head with this book.
